FULL DAY – October 1 | 09:00 – 17:00

Short Course Abstract:
“I measure my success by how well I motivate people to use their full potential”
– Paul J Meyer
The Canadian Mining Industry continues to evolve in the midst of continuous innovation and change, where People, Leadership and Culture are frequently cited as the critical next steps to reenergize our journey towards a “Total Safety Culture”. At the same time, we need to attract and retain a more diverse workforce to address our changing needs for innovative mining solutions as well as building equitable community partnerships.
Creating an engaging and motivating environment is crucial to drive performance and workplace culture. When leaders understand and harness the power of the human element that drives the organizational strategic success, they begin to connect all other initiatives and cultivate a strong culture that unites the workforce in accomplishing the organizations strategic intent.
In a culture where the leadership focus on people and building a strong workplace culture, we will drive towards a safe, inclusive, engaging, and respectful work environment where strategic success is planned, focused on, and celebrated throughout the entire organization.
The course will:
- Assist leaders in creating a roadmap to building a people centric strategy, leadership team, and culture.
- Assist leaders in creating an environment where people feel empowered and motivated to go beyond the call of duty.
- Define outcomes and benefits that will accrue to your organization by getting it right.
- Assist leaders in understanding the critical role of leadership at all levels to create and sustain a culture that is safe, heathy, inclusive, engaging, and successful.
- Allow you to network and work with other leaders who are building strong people centric workplace cultures.
We will explore ways that we as leaders create an engaging and motivating workplace environment and share effective initiatives to build successful strategies that have people and an empowered and equipped leadership team at the core of the strategy.
We will explore actions we can take as leaders to empower their workforce and create enthusiasm for the strategic ambitions, which include:
